Good as Gold is an expansive selection of paintings from artists featured throughout the Gold Award’s first decade-plus. Featuring an assortment of winning, donated and purchased works from the RMOA Collection, the exhibition brings together many works that have never been seen together before, or indeed even in the context of the Gold, offering a surprise selection of deep cuts and greatest hits from the popular and much-anticipated biennial prize, as well as non-Gold works from Gold artists. Named for benefactor Moya Gold, the exhibition is a celebration of the rich culture of giving and philanthropy in Rockhampton.

Featuring Abdul Abdullah, Tony Albert, Del Kathryn Barton, Richard Bell, Jason Benjamin, Jon Cattapan, Julie Fragar, Dale Frank, Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori, Pat Hoffie, John Honeywill, Gordon Hookey, Jumaadi, Tjungkara Ken, Richard Lewer, Rosella Namok, Euan Macleod, Noŋgirrŋa Marawili, Julian Meagher, Ryan Presley, Bundit Puangthong, Ben Quilty, Victoria Reichelt, Monica Rohan, Paul Ryan, Gareth Sansom, Wendy Sharpe, Kate Shaw, Ian Smith, Imants Tillers, Louise Tuckwell and Michael Zavros.

I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live and work, the Wurundjeri and Bunurong People of the Kulin Nation, and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture. I pay my respects to their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
