Divine Matrix
Olsen Gallery
Sydney 2026

At the heart of Shaw's art is a fascination with the forces that shape both the planet and human consciousness. Her upcoming exhibition Divine Matrix at Olsen Gallery in Sydney (29 April – 23 May 2026) continues this exploration. The divine matrix is a concept that evokes an all-encompassing web of life – the unseen networks of energy, pattern, and relationship that bind ecosystems, organisms, and human experience. In these new works, Shaw translates this idea into expansive luminous forms, suggesting that nature is not merely a backdrop but an interconnected field of intelligence and spirit. The divine matrix in her practice symbolises the permeability of boundaries – between sky and land, micro and macro, human and environment – and invites contemplation on how these interwoven forces manifest visually and emotionally. Through her signature layered surfaces, Shaw engages viewers in a meditative encounter with complexity, beauty, and the vital harmony of all living systems.

I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live and work, the Wurundjeri and Bunurong People of the Kulin Nation, and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture. I pay my respects to their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
