Lost in painting is an exhibition exploring contemporary Australian painting by artists from Dianne Tanzer Gallery and Nellie Castan Gallery. Embracing painting’s possibilities, the pursuit of the artists in this exhibition is to continue the ongoing debates over the practice of painting and its location within contemporary art.

UAP Spencer Lane Commission

Spencer Lane is one of the first laneways selected for reactivation through the Brisbane City Council’s Inhabit/Small Spaces program, designed to transform overlooked and forgotten spaces in the CBD through creative artworks and installations.

Urban Art Projects worked with Melbourne artist Kate Shaw to translate her painting practice into a large scale outdoor wall artwork for Spencer Lane, which is also earmarked for private development with a Laneway Bar. More information at Marker

Salt Mash Salty Mash takes the surrealist tactic of the ‘exquisite corpse’ into the realm of contemporary video.  Flux Factory artists Man Bartlett, Elizabeth Larison, Jaime Iglehart, and Kate Shaw, employ creative sabotage on each others’ original salt themed works.
